Black Down
Blackdown has the hghest point in the South Downs National Park. It is a great pplace for hikers and dog walkers. Beautiful views can be seen at many points during the walk. It was the home of Alfred Lord Tennyson. Tennyson's Lane  is a high,  sunken tree lined tunnel lane   that runs from Haslemere past the highest home, Aldworth House (today a couple of homes).  Prehistoric flints, ancient tracks feature here. For those who want futher history of Blackdown plenty of information can be found at Wikipedia
